Tribute Horse Feeds - SEO

E-mail Print PDF

One of the biggest challenges an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Specialist faces with each new account and site is trying to position the site on the first three pages of the search engines.  However, the ultimate goal is to achieve the almost impossible number one spot!  Achieving this goal for any SEO expert is at best a miracle and also an extremely rewarding milestone.  Regardless, all good things come to and end and so too does high rankings in the search engines.  Eventually, all number one spots will simply fall and rise as the search engines change and alter their algorithms in order to keep the market fair.

Recently, I've been working on the site, www.tributehorsefeeds.com, a site with a very competitive market and search results totaling over 30 million page results for most of their common or popular keyword searches.  Gaining top first through third pages of the search engines is a feat in itself.  Obtaining first page and number one spot is going to be a miracle.  However, since I have built the site in Joomla and have incorporated numerous SEO components, modules and plugins, the site is slowly creeping up the results and landing in pages 1-3.  In some cases, the site is now achieving page one and some keyword have positioned the site in the first through third spots!  Hallelujiah, it's a miracle!

Ok - now, remembering what I just said above, I realize that this will not remain forever.  At best, I can hope for a few weeks to several months of maintaining top 3 pages.  Maintaining top 3 positions will be nearly impossible.  Proper SEO will require weekly ongoing updates to look for little changes in the Search Engine algorithms.  I will need to keep an eye on keyword trends and popularity results.

I will let you know how the progress goes in weekly updates to this page.
